Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Social Media Manager for a 6-month temporary assignment, covering maternity leave. This role is based fully onsite in Raleigh, NC, and supports the Global Communications team with a focus on social media operations, primarily LinkedIn, and employee advocacy initiatives. The position requires sound judgment, strong organization, and the ability to calmly manage inbound requests from across the global firm.
Responsibilities
Role Summary
- Support the promotion of firm deal announcements by coordinating with the US PR team once press releases are approved.
- Draft and prepare social media copy for deal announcements, secure internal approvals, and schedule posts on LinkedIn.
- Manage the time-sensitive workflow within the role, ensuring deal announcements are posted promptly following approval.
LinkedIn & Content Management
- Manage and publish the firm's weekly LinkedIn newsletter.
- Support ongoing LinkedIn posting, with LinkedIn being the primary platform (approximately 99%).
- Post firm news and press releases to X (Twitter) as required.
Employee Advocacy
- Play a key role in the firm's employee advocacy program using Octopost (or similar platforms).
- Enable and encourage fee earners to share approved content on LinkedIn by making posting as simple and efficient as possible.
- Prepare advocacy content and ensure alignment with firm messaging and brand standards.
Inbox & Monitoring
- Manage the global social media inbox, responding to and triaging requests from offices around the world.
- Conduct brand and sentiment monitoring across platforms, flagging negative or sensitive mentions of the firm as appropriate.
- Exercise discretion and judgment when handling requests, including the ability to say no when needed.
Governance & Process
- Adhere to established approval processes for all external social media content.
- Ask questions and seek clarity to ensure content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with firm strategy.
- Work closely with the UK-based manager during core hours; after sign-off, liaise with the US PR Lead as needed.
Team & Reporting Structure
- Part of the Global Communications team within Marketing, Business Development (MBD).
- Works within a small, high-visibility social media team (three people).
- Reports to a manager based in the UK, with a close counterpart in Germany.
- Collaborates primarily with the US PR team (three team members based in New York and Washington, DC).
- Works closely with colleagues in social media, PR, internal communications, and content.
Qualifications
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience using LinkedIn; familiarity with X (Twitter).
- Proficiency with Canva.
- Familiarity with employee advocacy platforms (Octopost experience strongly preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Calm, measured approach with the ability to manage requests without being overly reactionary.
- Confidence in following approval processes and exercising sound judgment.
Preferred
- Legal or professional services background (helpful but not mandatory).
- Comfort working in a global environment with multiple time zones.
- Interest in using AI tools to support communications and workflow efficiency.

Additional Details
- Max Pay: $47 per hour
- Min Pay: $35 per hour
- Pay is dependent on experience with B2B social media experience, global experience, etc.
